HOWDY!

I’m Kevin Wruble, a 28 year-old industrial designer, thinker, and serial adventurer. I graduated with my B.F.A. in Industrial Design in 2018, and immediately thereafter started my design career at 3M in St. Paul, Minnesota.

After a couple years as a cog in the corporate machine, I set out west to chase new trails, high peaks, and a lovely young woman living in Fort Collins, CO. I found employment in Boulder as a designer at Matador, where I’ve since designed several products for the outdoor and travel industries.

I’ve had the opportunity to lead design on several products which have moved significant volume through popular retailers like REI, and found success in multiple ecommerce channels, including design-forward sites like Uncrate, Huckberry, and my personal favorite, the MOMA Store.

While working at 3M and Matador, I’ve designed both hard and soft good products. This work has ranged from conceptual structural braces for 3M’s ACE brand, to dry bags, backpacks, and sling bags for Matador. I consider myself to be proficient in soft goods, but my true passion lives with hard goods. The travel and outdoor accessories I’ve designed for Matador have helped our annual sales grow nearly exponentially, most recently culminating in the release of the BetaLock, a first-of-its-kind product that was gobbled up by nearly every account we pitched it to.

When I'm not working I can usually be found traveling, riding my gravel bike in the mountains, or spending time in the garage fiddling with my latest project.

If you’re interested in getting to know more, drop a line and lets grab a beer. Cheers!
